Frequently Asked Questions

WHY DID YOU FORM PMA?
When it comes to installation services, local businesses do the best work. Every market has its own regulations, networks, and idiosyncrasies, and local players are most in tune with those. However, many commercial installation clients require work in multiple markets, and typically have to hire different installation outfits in each area if they want to stick with local expertise.

Conversely, large corporations have the resources and systems to support installation teams across a broad territory, but lack the local know-how to provide the quality of service clients need and expect.

We created PMA to be the best of both worlds. We pool member resources to provide companies that are excelling in local markets with financial support, accounting, IT, HR, and more — all of the expensive pieces of overhead that are often just out of reach for lean operators. By sharing the cost of these essential business services, we enjoy the cost efficiencies of large corporations while maintaining the deep knowledge that's specific to the individual markets.

HOW DO I REQUEST A QUOTE? IF I LIVE IN LA, BUT HAVE A JOB IN SAN FRANCISCO, WHOM DO I CONTACT?
If you're new to working with us, you may contact us through our online Quote Request here.

If you've worked with PMA or any of our member companies before, you may contact the person you're already accustomed to working with. You will get the right information, from the right source, with the correct local pricing regardless of whom you speak to or where that person is located.

WHY WOULD ONE MEMBER COMPANY PROVIDE A QUOTE FOR A SEPARATE MEMBER COMPANY WITHOUT MAKING A DOLLAR?
From a financial perspective, the benefit of the alliance is the cost sharing of overhead (HR, IT, accounting, etc.). The more members who participate in business services, the lower the cost is for each. We do not mark-up services when quoting for another region because that would be taking the benefit from our customers.

From a service perspective, this practice creates value for our clients by providing great results, at competitive prices, in the right market, and all while getting to work with the preferred point person.
